The Diplomats of Sound are a collective of emerging artists, DJ’s, promoters and social entrepreneurs that have been brought together through the activities of the critically acclaimed and award winning venue Chai Wallahs. Following the introduction of their live stage in 2007 Chai Wallahs have established a glowing reputation for showcasing the finest emerging artists, running a highly professional stage production, creating legendary party vibes and for providing a truly mind opening and joyful experience.

In 2010 with the support of the legendary soul singer Joss Stone and her new independent record label Stone’d Record, Chai Wallahs launched the ‘Diplomats of Sound’, a social enterprise project set up to support emerging independent artists and develop further professional performance platforms outside of the festival circuit.

Driven by a passion for music and a desire to create an alternative to what is largely a soulless and formulaic music industry, the ‘Diplomats of Sound’ seek to push the boundaries of new music, whilst creating a community brand that can be trusted for providing music with passion, creativity and integrity.

2011 see’s the launch of this collaboration. The Diplomats of Sound ‘ALL GOOD THINGS’ tour will be visiting a string of city venues and festivals across the UK.

Keep Sweet Mixtape by GoodgrooveRecords

Here's the second gem from the Goodgroove vault mixed by the big boss man of Goodgroove, Slim Goodgroove. Same rules apply if you own a copy of the track head on over to their Soundcloud page and leave a comment. This is nu-funk gold people don't miss out on the download.

Looks like Goodgroove Records have been digging through the archives and found gold. Here's a mix recorded in 2009 by the nu-funk legend Featurecast for Italian radio show Rai Radio to help showcase what they are all about. Beardyman's Essential Mix
To date this has had over 9000 plays, Beardyman is one of the best beatboxers around and he really shows it in this essential mix he made for Radio 1.

Stereo:Type - Mixtape February 2011
Now I'm slightly biased when it comes to Stereo:Type as I'm a huge fan of what they do but to be honest what they do is pure genius.

Bezwun - G.F.S.T (Ghetto Funky Superstar Town)
Bezwen pretty much showcased exactly what ghettofunk is all about with this Funkytown mashup.

FunkMoguls - January 2011 Promo Mix
I hadn't heard of The FunkMoguls before this mix but they were instantly added to my list of favourites with that sick DMX remix and all the funky beats laced with scratching in this mix.
